Ride Kalim

We can arrange delivery to many hotels, villas and apartments around Kalim. Send us the name of your accommodation or an accurate map location, together with your rental dates and the number of bikes required. We can then check availability and confirm whether delivery can be arranged for your stay. We do not deliver to or collect from Phuket Airport or Phuket Bus Station.

To rent a motorbike you will need to provide a copy of your passport, pay a ฿1,000 deposit and sign a written rental agreement. A suitable Thai or international driving licence valid for motorcycles is also required. Helmets are supplied if required, and riders and passengers are legally required to wear them. Free delivery is available in many Phuket locations for rentals of four days or longer, subject to location, availability and confirmation. Delivery and collection are not available at Phuket Airport or Phuket Bus Station. Tell us your accommodation area and rental dates when you enquire so we can confirm the suitable options available for your stay.

Kalim is immediately north of Patong, but accommodation can be spread along the coast and on the surrounding hillside roads. A motorbike can make it easier to reach Patong’s shops, restaurants and other facilities while staying outside its busiest central streets. It also provides convenient access to other west-coast areas.

Kalim borders the northern end of Patong, so the journey between the two areas is relatively short. The actual travel time depends on where you are staying and current traffic conditions. Allow additional time during busy periods, particularly when travelling towards central Patong.

The coastal road connects Kalim with Patong to the south and Kamala to the north. Parts of the route have bends and changes in gradient, while some accommodation is reached by steeper hillside roads. Ride at a comfortable speed, allow space around other vehicles and take extra care in rain or reduced visibility.

Patong is directly south of Kalim, while travelling north along the west coast leads towards Kamala, Surin and Bang Tao. Karon and Kata can also be reached by continuing south beyond Patong. Plan longer journeys around traffic, weather, road conditions and your riding experience.

Tell us how many people will be riding, how long you need the bike and the journeys you expect to make. A visitor travelling mainly between Kalim and Patong may have different requirements from someone planning longer journeys along the coast. We can then discuss suitable options available for your dates.

Once your booking has been confirmed, we will agree a practical meeting place and time. At the handover, you can check the bike, familiarise yourself with its controls and ask any questions before setting off. The return or collection arrangements can also be confirmed at this stage.
