Motorbike rental in Phuket Town
Phuket Town is the place for Sino-Portuguese architecture, cafés, markets and a sense of the island’s history. A scooter helps you explore Old Town streets and reach the beaches when you want a day trip.
Old Phuket Town is known for its narrow shop houses, latticed windows and restored Sino-Portuguese buildings that now house restaurants, bars and galleries.
A walking tour of the old streets is rewarding, and a bike makes it easier to combine town sightseeing with trips towards Chalong, Kathu or the west coast.
Delivery within the main Phuket Town area is available subject to booking details.

Phuket Town motorbike hire FAQs
Practical information about arranging motorbike delivery, getting around Phuket Town and travelling to the island’s beaches and surrounding areas.
Can you deliver a motorbike to my accommodation in Phuket Town?
We can arrange delivery to many hotels, apartments and guesthouses around Phuket Town. Send us your accommodation name or an accurate map location, your preferred rental dates and the number of bikes required. We can then check availability and agree a practical place for the delivery and handover. We do not deliver to or collect from Phuket Airport or Phuket Bus Station.
What do I need to rent a motorbike?
To rent a motorbike you will need to provide a copy of your passport, pay a ฿1,000 deposit and sign a written rental agreement. A suitable Thai or international driving licence valid for motorcycles is also required. Helmets are supplied if required, and riders and passengers are legally required to wear them. Free delivery is available in many Phuket locations for rentals of four days or longer, subject to location, availability and confirmation. Delivery and collection are not available at Phuket Airport or Phuket Bus Station. Tell us your accommodation area and rental dates when you enquire so we can confirm the suitable options available for your stay.
Is a motorbike useful when staying in Phuket Town?
Phuket Town includes the historic centre as well as neighbourhoods, shopping areas and local facilities spread farther out. A motorbike can make journeys beyond the walkable Old Town more convenient. It also gives you the flexibility to visit beaches and other parts of the island without arranging transport for every trip.
What is riding in central Phuket Town like?
The centre has busy junctions, narrow streets, parked vehicles and frequent pedestrian activity. Traffic conditions can change quickly, especially around markets, schools and commercial areas. Ride at a controlled speed, watch for vehicles entering from side roads and allow extra time during busy periods.
Where can I park a motorbike in Phuket Old Town?
Use designated motorbike parking where it is available and always check local signs or restrictions. Avoid blocking shop entrances, footpaths and access for other vehicles. Central streets can be particularly busy during markets and events, so you may need to park a short distance away and continue on foot.
Can I travel from Phuket Town to the beaches by motorbike?
Yes, roads from Phuket Town connect with beaches and resort areas across the island. Patong is reached via inland routes through or around Kathu, while Chalong, Rawai and the southern beaches are in the opposite direction. Allow for hills, traffic and longer journey times when travelling across Phuket.
How do I choose a suitable motorbike for Phuket Town?
Tell us how many people will be riding, how long you need the bike and where you expect to travel. A visitor making short journeys around town may have different requirements from someone planning regular trips across the island. We can then discuss suitable options available for your rental dates.
What happens when the motorbike is delivered?
Once your booking has been confirmed, we will agree a practical meeting place and time. At the handover, you can check the bike, familiarise yourself with its controls and ask any questions before setting off. The return or collection arrangements can also be confirmed at this stage.
