Ride Kamala

We can arrange delivery to many hotels, villas and apartments around Kamala Beach. Send us your accommodation name or an accurate map location, your preferred rental dates and the number of bikes required. We can then check availability and confirm whether delivery can be arranged for your stay. We do not deliver to or collect from Phuket Airport or Phuket Bus Station.

To rent a motorbike you will need to provide a copy of your passport, pay a ฿1,000 deposit and sign a written rental agreement. A suitable Thai or international driving licence valid for motorcycles is also required. Helmets are supplied if required, and riders and passengers are legally required to wear them. Free delivery is available in many Phuket locations for rentals of four days or longer, subject to location, availability and confirmation. Delivery and collection are not available at Phuket Airport or Phuket Bus Station. Tell us your accommodation area and rental dates when you enquire so we can confirm the suitable options available for your stay.

Kamala includes the beachfront, the village, properties along the main road and accommodation on the surrounding hillsides. A motorbike can make it easier to travel between your accommodation, the beach, restaurants and local shops. It also gives you the flexibility to visit other west-coast areas without arranging transport for each journey.

You are welcome to enquire about delivery to a hillside villa or apartment. Please provide an accurate map location because some properties are away from the main road or reached by steep access routes. The location can then be checked before delivery and handover arrangements are confirmed.

Roads within central Kamala are generally used for short local journeys, while the coastal routes towards Patong and Surin include bends, hills and changes in gradient. Traffic can become busy on the main road. Ride at a comfortable speed and take additional care on steep access roads or when the surface is wet.

Travelling south from Kamala leads towards Kalim and Patong. Surin Beach and Bang Tao are to the north, with Cherngtalay and other parts of northern Phuket accessible beyond them. When planning longer journeys, consider the distance, traffic, weather and your experience of riding on hilly coastal roads.

Tell us how many people will be riding, how long you require the bike and the journeys you intend to make. Someone planning short trips within Kamala may have different requirements from a rider travelling regularly along Phuket’s west coast. We can then discuss suitable options available for your rental dates.

Once your booking has been confirmed, we will agree a practical meeting place and time. At the handover, you can check the bike, familiarise yourself with its controls and ask any questions before setting off. The return or collection arrangements can also be confirmed at this stage.
